In a tragic incident in Piplodi, Jhalawar, a classroom ceiling collapse at a government school resulted in the deaths of seven children and injuries to over 20 others. Villagers reported the school building was in disrepair for decades and teachers ignored students’ warnings about the dangerous conditions.

The trekking route to Kedarnath Dham, near Gaurikund, has been closed due to a landslide triggered by a hillock collapse on Friday night. The Public Works Department is working to clear the debris and restore the path. Security personnel are assisting pilgrims returning from Kedarnath, while those heading towards the shrine from Gaurikund have been stopped.
