A 72-year-old retired MTNL mechanic, Gautam Thakur, was murdered at his home in New Ashok Nagar, Delhi, on Saturday. Police arrested his younger son, Mahesh, who initially misled them with a false story. Mahesh confessed to killing his father over property disputes after an intense interrogation. The murder weapon, a kitchen knife, was recovered.
