Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, was one of the most popular films of 2023, and it is coming back to the theatres again. But not in India. The action drama will be released in Japan two years after its release in India.

Animal was the 9th highest-grossing Indian film of all time, but recently, Dhurandhar took over the spot. The Ranveer Singh starrer has crossed the Rs 900 mark worldwide and is soon expected to enter the Rs 1000 crore club. While this will give competition to Animal’s worldwide box office collection, the Vanga directorial has the chance of gaining momentum since Indian films in Japan have performed well in the past.

Vanga announced the film’s sequel, Animal Park, during the post-credit scenes. A couple of months ago, Ranbir shared an update on the sequel and said that the film will go on floors in 2027. He also shared that Vanga has been interacting with him on the idea, the music and the characters.
