OG Collections: Pawan Kalyanâs Film Crosses Rs 110 Crore in India in 3 Days
Pawan Kalyan’s latest release They Call Him OG got off to a flying start at the box office. After opening to record numbers in theatres on the first day, the Sujeeth directorial showed steady progress on the second and third day at the box office. While OG collected Rs 63.75 crore on the first day, the film earned Rs 19.6 crore and Rs 6. 14 crores on the second and third day respectively.

OG mints Rs 110 crore in 3 days
They Call Him OG collections in India after three days were around Rs 110 crore (net) — the film grossed more than Rs 200 crore worldwide. And according to trade pundits, although there seems to be a decline in the collections, the film is sitting pretty at the box office. OG’s revenue saw a decline in some districts due to mixed reviews from critics, but the film was well received by the fans and audiences. Despite a decline in collections, the overall occupancy rate for ‘They Call Him OG’ improved during the weekend at 42%. Also, the positive word-of-mouth and the festive season helped the film sustain its momentum at the box office.

OG sitting pretty in overseas
In overseas too, the craze for the Pawan Kalyan-starrer was at its best. OG opened to a thunderous response with the film collecting a record number from the premieres itself. According to filmmakers, the film has earned $4.7 million (gross) at the North American box office — highest in the actor’s career. With a massive fan base, the DVV Danayya’s production venture had received a 7.2 rating on IMDb. Pawan’s action sequences and intense performances have received huge praise. Fans have lauded the actor’s hero-like entries throughout the film and have appreciated Sujeeth’s writing and portraying their favourite actor how they imagined him to be.
The makers of Ram Charan’s upcoming film Peddi celebrated a milestone in the actor’s career. He has completed 18 glorious years in cinema (his film Chirutha released on September 28, 2007). The landmark year has got the fans going. Meanwhile, Charan is shooting for rustic drama Peddi, which is being crafted on a massive canvas.
