Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam on Friday evening to lead the national event as part of the 11th International Yoga Day celebrations on Saturday.

Amidst escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, the Indian government initiated Operation Sindhu, safely evacuating Indian nationals from the Middle East. A flight carrying 290 students, mainly from Jammu and Kashmir, landed in Delhi from Mashhad, Iran, after Tehran opened its airspace. Approximately 1,000 Indians are expected to return, with additional flights scheduled.

A federal judge has ordered the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a former Columbia University graduate student, from immigration detention after over three months. Khalil’s detention stemmed from his alleged involvement in pro-Palestinian protests, sparking controversy and accusations of false information on his green card application.
