It is slated to release in India on September 26, 2025. The stars have arrived to show support for the movie. In fact, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has produced the film, while Ishaan, Vishal and Janhvi Kapoor star in it in leading roles.
Interestingly, the movie has also been officially selected as India’s entry for Oscars 2026. It will compete against other movies in the Best International Feature category. Karan Johar had previously reacted to the news. He stated, “We are deeply honoured and humbled that HOMEBOUND has been selected as India’s official entry to the Academy Awards… Neeraj Ghaywan’s labour of love is sure to a find a home in a million hearts across the world.”
Other stars, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Ananya Panday and more have also shared their excitement about Homebound’s achievement. It was screened at Cannes 2025 and recently at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
