The ministry of external affairs (MEA) on Saturday had said that about 20-25 youths gathered in front of the Bangladesh High Commission in New Delhi on Saturday and raised slogans, protesting the “horrendous killing” of Dipu Chandra Das, 25, who was lynched to death by a mob in Mymensingh on Thursday.

The ritual was conducted in the backdrop of the June stampede that occurred during victory celebrations following Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s maiden IPL title win.

The incident, reported on Sunday, led the state Health Minister, Colonel Dhani Ram Shandil, to assure strict action following a thorough inquiry.
