‘Would you ask Shah Rukh Khan’s wife same thing?’ questions Govinda’s wife Sunita on being asked about entering Bigg Boss: ‘You think I clean toilets?’

Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja is known for not mincing her words and speaking her mind, unfiltered. The audience recently got a peek into her real and raw self when she was on a podcast. While indulging in the candid chat, she was asked if she would ever be part of the reality TV show, Bigg Boss. Responding to it, she stated that she isn’t the one who would clean toilets. Moreover, no one would ask Shah Rukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan such questions.

During an interview with Time Out with Ankit, Govinda’s better half Sunita Ahuja stated that the team of Big Boss has been inviting for the show and the OTT version of it, for the past four years. But she told them, ‘Are you mad? You think I clean toilets?’ The celebrity also quizzed the host that he asked her this question, but “Would you ask Shah Rukh Khan’s wife the same thing? Do you think we’re struggling financially? I don’t even watch Bigg Boss,” Sunita quipped.

However, she did express her desire to be part of Karan Johar’s chat show, Koffee With Karan. Opining about it, Ahuja stated that she is waiting for an invite from the makers. When enquired if she’s mad on the filmmaker for not inviting her to the popular show till now, she responded “Why would I be irritated?” adding that it’s KJo’s show and he can invite whoever he feels like. However, if she ever goes on KWK, she’ll bring ratings to it. Moreover, they will have a ball since both Karan and her are Gemini.

During the same interview, Sunita shared that she isn’t the only one approached for Big Boss; her daughter, Tina, has also received an offer. However, she made it clear to the show’s producers that they can only approach her if they want her to co-host with Salman Khan. Sunita and Govind also have a son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, who is set to make his acting debut shortly.

Declined Offer To Run for PM’s Post, Was Not My Aim In Life: Nitin Gadkari

Union minister Nitin Gadkari on Saturday said a political leader once offered to support him if he were to enter the race for the Prime Minister’s post, but he declined the offer stating that he did not nurse that ambition.

“I remember one incident — I would not name anyone — that person said if you are going to become prime minister, we will support you,” Gadkari said at a journalism awards function here, without specifying when the conversation took place.

“But, I asked why you should support me, and why should I take your support. To become the prime minister is not the aim in my life. I am loyal to my conviction and my organisation, and I am not going to compromise for any post because my conviction is foremost for me,” the senior BJP leader added.

In his speech, Nitin Gadkari underlined the importance of ethics in both journalism and politics.

Recalling a meeting with a senior CPI functionary, Nitin Gadkari said he told the communist leader that late A B Bardhan was among the tallest politicians from Nagpur and Vidarbha.

When the leader expressed surprise saying that Bardhan was an opponent of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), Nitin Gadkari said honest opposition should be respected.

“I said one should respect a person who opposes with honesty, because there is honesty in his opposition….one who opposes with dishonesty deserves no respect,” said Nitin Gadkari.

Comrade Bardhan was faithful to his ideology, and politics as well as journalism now lack such people, he said.

Democracy will be successful only when all four pillars — judiciary, executive, legislature and media — follow ethics, the BJP leader further said.

‘It Could Only Have Been A Musical’: Rebel Wilson Spills Beans Over Her Directorial Debut Set To Be Premiered At The Toronto Film Festival

Rebel Wilson has taken up the role of director for the first time in the musical drama, The Deb. Ahead of her film premiering at the Toronto Film Festival, Wilson opened up about her experience of taking the space behind camera to the People Magazine. As for her inspiration for The Deb, Wilson revealed that she made a blend of all the teen movies she had loved over the years.

In conversation with the media portal, the actress claimed, “Basically, it could only have been a musical, I think, because the amount of work and passion and love you have to put in, I think for me it could only be a musical.” She further revealed her love for the genre and how she took the teen productions into account for the inspiration.

The Pitch Perfect alum revealed, “It’s a bit of a long story.” She went on to add, “But our dogs were the stars of my family and our dog had auditioned for a musical called 42nd Street, and the dog went to the call-backs and was supposed to run over to the actress on command.”

Furthermore, the actress claimed that she found her audience at 42nd Street Productions, and that’s where she began to manifest a dream of directing a musical.

Wilson recalled, “And so as a 14-year-old, a girl going through puberty and just not having a place in the world, going through a tough time in high school and stuff, I saw this musical—this singing and dancing and joy and light and awesomeness—and ever since then, I’ve just loved musicals.”

She continued to say, “So I thought in order to take me out of the acting game for a while and to direct, it had to be a musical. And I thought it had to be Australian, because it’s very authentic to me and my background. So hence, The Deb.”

As for the film, the Australian native stated that she is proud of how the film turned out to be, and moreover, she also claimed that her cast and crew have done a fabulous job on the movie.

Speaking about the filming process, Wilon revealed, “It was really, really fun. There was a lot of laughing, just kind of always on set.” She continued to say, “Yeah, there was a lot of improv, which was great, especially for scenes with me and Rebel. It was a lot of just back and forth moments. It was just so much fun.”

The Deb will premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 14.
