JD(U) supremo and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar pledged unconditional support to the Narendra Modi-led NDA government, while also highlighting the need to address Bihar’s concerns. Despite the show of solidarity and goodwill, Kumar did not shy away from reminding Modi about issues pertinent to Bihar. His seemingly casual reference to “Bihar ka kaam” was interpreted as a nod to his longstanding demand for special category status for the state.
