The red carpet of the Irasva Fine Jewellery Grazia Fashion Awards 2026 turned into a striking celebration of style, glamour and individuality, as Sharvari, Aditi Rao Hydari, Malaika Arora and many others brought their fashion A game to the spotlight.

Sharvari brought a sharp, structured edge in a rich wine toned look, effortlessly blending power dressing with a touch of glamour. Aditi Rao Hydari, on the other hand, kept it soft and elegant in a classic black ensemble, letting her natural grace and poise take centre stage. Malaika Arora, as always, owned the spotlight with her confident presence.

The Dhurandhar franchise has become much more than a box-office success. While the films have shattered records and inspired endless internet memes, they have also shone a rare spotlight on the art of film casting. From director Aditya Dhar’s intense focus on peak detailing to the research conducted by casting director Mukesh Chhabra, the ensemble has been a major talking point for fans and critics alike.

In a conversation with Hindustan Times, Mukesh Chhabra opened up about the massive responsibility of casting the characters in Dhurandhar. He shared how he managed nearly 300 roles, a process that occupied two years of his life and required the efforts of eight assistants. While the films boast massive stars like Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sanjay Dutt, Mukesh revealed that his most satisfying casting choice wasn’t one of the industry veterans. Instead, it was finding the right face for the female lead.

He shared, “I could say all of them. But Sara Arjun is a new talent. To find a new girl for this role amid such a big star cast was challenging.”  Sara, a former child star known for projects like Ponniyin Selvan and Ek Thi Daayan, made her lead debut as Yalina, the love interest and eventual wife of Ranveer Singh’s character, Hamza. Mukesh mentioned that the positive reception of her performance validated the leap of faith taken by him and Aditya Dhar. He added, “And then for her to stand out in this manner felt great.” The casting director also found satisfaction in subverting audience expectations by placing known comedic actors in serious, high-stakes roles. He highlighted the surprise casting of Gaurav Gera as the Indian spy Aalam and Rakesh Bedi as the shrewd politician Jameel Jamali as particularly rewarding.

Talking about the wider ensemble, including Uzair Baloch (Danish Pandor), Babu Dakait (Asif Ali Haider Khan), and the much-discussed portrayals of Nawaz Sharif and Atiq Ahmed, Mukesh expressed immense pride in the final result. He said, “Every single person we cast in this film was perfect.”

The Allu Arjun Fans Association, which was recently formalised, has launched a new initiative to support HPV vaccination awareness. Inspired by the Pushpa 2 actor’s message of carrying out “one good deed every year,” the group has taken up this social cause ahead of the star’s birthday on April 8. The association is planning a series of awareness programmes that will run throughout the year to educate people about the importance of the vaccine.

HPV vaccine fights cervical cancer

Health experts state that the HPV vaccine is crucial for young girls, as it offers strong protection against cervical cancer. Girls and women between the ages of 9 and 26 can receive the vaccine free of cost at government hospitals under the central government’s “Swasth Nari Viksit Bharat” programme. The fan association aims to ensure that every eligible individual is aware of this life-saving opportunity.

This is not the first time the actor has been associated with charitable initiatives. The Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo star has a history of helping those in need. In September 2024, he donated Rs 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Funds of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to support flood victims. He also contributed Rs 25 lakh towards relief efforts following the Wayanad landslides in Kerala. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he donated Rs 1.45 crore to support relief efforts across multiple states. Additionally, he has supported education by sponsoring a four-year nursing course for a student in Kerala who lost her father.

On the work front, Allu Arjun’s next theatrical release is an Atlee directorial, tentatively titled AA22 x A6. The sci-fi entertainer reportedly features him in a dual role and co-stars Deepika Padukone and Mrunal Thakur. He is also set to collaborate with director Lokesh Kanagaraj after this project.
