Agastya Nandas First Look From Ikkis Unveiled Suhana Khan Abhishek Bachchan React

Agastya Nanda’s first look from his upcoming film Ikkis has been unveiled. The actor, who made his OTT debut with The Archies, will now be making his theatrical debut with the Sriram Raghavan film. Ikkis is set against the backdrop of the 1971 war and follows the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetrapal. He is the youngest recipient of the Param Veer Chakra honour. The film will be released in December this year.

 

Sharing the character poster, Maddock Films wrote, “On the birth anniversary of Arun Khetarpal, Ikkis, a story that will forever stay in our hearts, is wrapped. Dinesh Vijan and Maddock Films present #Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan, a true untold story of the youngest officer recipient of the Param Vir Chakra. In cinemas December 2025!”

Ikkis also stars Dharmendra, Jaideep Ahlawat and Shree Bishnoi, among others. In the first poster, Agastya can be seen standing on the battlefield and in the second one, we see him in action, with war tankers around.

As soon as the poster was unveiled, Agastya’s family members and friends showered their love and support. His uncle Abhishek Bachchan reposted the photo, while his sister Navya Naveli posted it on Instagram’s story section. Agastya’s rumoured girlfriend, Suhana Khan, too, shared the posters.

Ikkis

Ikkis chronicles the bravery and sacrifice of the 21-year-old soldier during the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Agastya Nanda portrays Khetarpal, bringing to life the young officer’s valour in the Battle of Basantar. Veteran actor Dharmendra plays ML Khetarpal, Arun’s father, while Jaideep Ahlawat takes on the role of a Pakistani army officer. The ensemble cast also includes Sikandar Kher, Simar Bhatia, and Ekavali Khanna.

Produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films, Ikkis promises to be a stirring tribute to one of India’s most celebrated war heroes.

Akshay Kumar to Headline Hindi Remake of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam?

South films being remade in Hindi were a massive trend until a few years ago. However, with the advent of OTT, that remake trend has slowed down a bit. But it looks like the trend is about to make a return in full swing. According to the latest reports, Venkatesh’s Telugu blockbuster Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is all set to be remade in Hindi, with none other than Akshay Kumar stepping into the lead role.

Sankranthiki Vasthunnam minted over Rs 250 crore

The film, which became one of the biggest Telugu hits of 2024, collected over Rs 250 crore worldwide and marked Venkatesh’s grand comeback to form. The Hindi version will be directed by Anees Bazmee, known for his blockbuster entertainers like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, Welcome, and No Entry.

The remake will be produced by Dil Raju, who also backed the original Telugu version. The project is currently in its pre-production stage, and casting for the female leads is underway. The story of Sankranthiki Vasthunnam revolves around a retired cop who is forced back into action to capture a dangerous terrorist. The twist comes when he is accompanied by his wife and ex-girlfriend on the mission, leading to a hilarious roller-coaster of chaos.

Hindi version promises a lot

With Akshay Kumar’s impeccable comic timing and Anees Bazmee’s flair for family entertainers, the Hindi remake promises to be a full-fledged crowd-pleaser. Fans are already excited to see how Akshay will reinterpret the character originally played by Venkatesh. Akshay Kumar is busy with multiple films, and if all goes as planned, the remake will go on the floors in early 2026. The actor saw the original and loved it. He wanted to give his own spin to the film whilst retaining its essence. His characterization would feature typical antics and humour infused into the script.
