GTA 6 To Introduce First-Ever Female Playable Character. What We Know

Rockstar Games confirmed in 2022 that Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is actively in development. However, the game’s journey wasn’t without a hitch, as Rockstar faced a major leak that exposed more details than they had intended to reveal at that point. In response, the company not only acknowledged GTA 6’s development but also confirmed several other aspects that had been long-rumored.

GTA 6 Platforms:

The latest leaks strongly suggest that GTA 6 will be exclusive to new-gen hardware, indicating a release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, while the prospect of a release on PS4 or Xbox One seems improbable given the anticipated release timeline.

GTA 6: Lucia

GTA 6 will also include the franchise’s first-ever playable female character named Lucia. Lucia is a Hispanic woman of Latin American origin, about 5’3″ tall, in her late 20s or early 30s, and is in a relationship with Jason. Lucia has an interesting backstory; she has a history of being in jail and fled to Vice City before the events of the game. Additionally, it appears she’s a skilled hacker, adding an exciting dimension to her character.

GTA 6 Release Date:

The release date of GTA 6 remains uncertain, and it seems that fans might have to wait for a few more years before getting their hands on the highly anticipated game. According to insights from a GTA insider named ‘Tez2,’ the current focus appears to be on a potential release in 2024. To meet this timeline, there’s speculation that developers might consider making the difficult decision of trimming certain aspects of the game to ensure it hits the targeted release window. This suggests that the development process might involve some tough choices to bring GTA 6 to players in the coming years.

GTA 6 Map:

According to Bloomberg, the eagerly awaited GTA 6 is expected to have a primary setting in a fictional take on Miami and its nearby regions, highly resembling Vice City within the GTA universe. What sets this installment apart is its plan for evolution and growth over time. This means the game will continuously introduce new cities and regions as it progresses, possibly offering additional story content, expanding the map, and introducing new visitable locations. These updates could be part of an ongoing expansion, potentially serving as a successor to the popular GTA Online. This dynamic approach is poised to keep players engaged and the virtual world ever-evolving.

“Symbol Of Light”: Trudeau Attends Diwali Event In Canada Amid India Row

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau joined the Indian community in the country to bring in Diwali, lighting lamps at Parliament Hill in Ottawa. This comes at a time when Canada’s relations with India are at an all-time low.

Sharing glimpses of the event on his Instagram, Trudeau wrote: “In just a few days, people across the country and around the world will celebrate Diwali and Bandi Chhor Divas. Both celebrations are about the triumph of light over darkness, and about optimism – and both are a symbol of the light we all need more of. To everyone who came together for yesterday’s event on Parliament Hill: Happy Diwali! Happy Bandi Chhor Divas! I hope the celebrations this week bring you optimism for the year ahead.”

The Diwali celebration at Parliament Hill was led by Indo-Canadian parliamentarian Chandrasekhar Arya. The event saw an impressive turnout of Indians from various Canadian cities, including Ottawa, the Greater Toronto Area, and Montreal.

“I was pleased to host Diwali on Parliament Hill,” Mr Arya, originally from Karnataka, wrote on X.

“We also used this opportunity to raise the flag of the Hindu sacred symbol Aum at Parliament Hill. Great turnout with participants from Ottawa, the Greater Toronto Area, Montreal, and many other places. The event was supported by 67 Hindu and Indo-Canadian organizations across Canada. The added pleasure this year was Diwali is also part of the Hindu Heritage Month across Canada. My sincere thanks to all those who attended, volunteers, and artists of excellent cultural performances at the event.”

Pierre Poilievre, the leader of the Conservative Party, also attended the event. “Happy Diwali from Brampton! As light overcomes darkness, may your year be filled with love and joy,” he wrote on X.

The Diwali celebrations took place amid strained bilateral relations between India and Canada. Tensions between the two countries escalated after Justin Trudeau, in September, claimed Indian agents were involved in the killing of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada’s Surrey. India had designated Nijjar as a terrorist in 2020.

On November 5, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that talks with Canada for a free trade agreement have paused due to some misconceptions.

In October, Canada withdrew 41 diplomats from India after India flagged a diplomatic disparity. Canada alleged India was planning to “unethically” revoke diplomatic immunity for all but 21 of Canada’s diplomats and their families, forcing the move from Ottawa.

Hamas Attacked Israel Over Mosque In Jerusalem, Once Liberated by India: Read

Just before sunrise on October 7, hundreds of Hamas operatives crossed Gaza’s border with Israel. Within minutes, they poured across, opening the gates of hell. On that morning, neither the Israeli soldiers monitoring the Gaza border nor the civilians living in nearby towns and kibbutz had any idea about the bloodiest attack in the country’s 75-year history. Hamas called it ‘Operation Al-Aqsa Flood’, in reference to the mosque in Jerusalem’s Old City that houses the third holiest site in Islam.

Hamas said the attack was carried out in reference to the police storming the mosque in 2022. The mosque is situated in Jerusalem, which is 40,000 kilometres away from India yet has a connect with our country.

Over 100 years ago, during the First World War, Indian soldiers helped win the city for the British who defeated the Ottoman Empire.

More than a million Indian soldiers fought for the British in 1917 to liberate Jerusalem. Between 1914 and 1918, they fought the Turkish-German armies at Gallipoli, the Suez Canal, through the Sinai and Palestine and finally Damascus, with crucial battles in Gaza, Jerusalem, Jaffa, Haifa, Nablus and Megiddo, according to a report in Jerusalem Post.

Indian soldiers also fought in the Battle of Tabsor during World War I. Fought on September 19-20, 1918, it was an important battle and the opening of the famous Meggido offensive. These events played a crucial role in the victory of the Entente Forces over the Ottoman armies in Palestine.

A vast majority of the soldiers who participated in this offensive were Indian troops, consisting of Punjabis, Sikhs, Gurkhas and soldiers from various other regions of undivided India.

Two years ago, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar unveiled a plaque at Ra’anana in northern Israel in the memory of these Indian soldiers.
