A Texas Republican leader has come under fire over his remarks on a 90-foot statue of lord Hanuman–known as the ‘Statue of Union’ — in the US city.

Assam mourns the loss of Zubeen Garg, a celebrated singer and composer, with a state funeral planned in Kamarkuchi village. Thousands of fans paid their respects in Guwahati, while Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma oversaw arrangements and tributes poured in. A second post-mortem was conducted for transparency, and memorials were held across the state to honor Zubeen’s legacy.
