Haryana chief minister Nayab Saini has distanced himself and the BJP from Kangana Ranaut’s controversial statements concerning the farmers’ protests. Saini reaffirmed the party’s dedication to farmers’ welfare. Himachal Pradesh officials heavily criticized Ranaut, prompting the BJP to clarify that Ranaut is not permitted to speak on policy matters.

The Supreme Court granted bail to BRS leader K Kavitha, questioning the fairness of central agencies’ investigations in the Delhi excise policy scam. After Kavitha had been jailed for over five months, the court noted that further custody was unnecessary as investigations were complete. She was ordered to furnish bail bonds of Rs 10 lakh in each case.
