Will Angelina Jolie Star In A Rom-Com Anytime Soon? Find Out As Actress Claims She Isn’t Sure ‘How Good’ She’d Be In It

Angelina Jolie isn’t sure if she would want to be a part of a rom-com movie anytime soon. In conversation with E! News, the actress talked about her thoughts about starring in a rom-com while promoting her latest movie, Maria, which premiered in Los Angeles.

While speaking to the media portal, the Oscar-winning actress shared that the closest she has come to doing a rom-com is playing the role of Maleficient in the Disney-hailed movie of 2014 and then in the sequel part in 2019.

In the Maleficient movies, Jolie’s character is seen to be in love with Diaval. Throughout the years of Jolie’s being in the Hollywood industry, the actress has not acted in a proper romance movie, though her characters have a little bit of love angles here and there.

The actress’s list of movies in the thriller genre is rather lengthy, including Girl, Interrupted, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

While sitting down for an interview with the entertainment portal, the Hollywood star shared, “I don’t know how good I’d be at a rom-com.” She further added, “I think Maleficent was the closest I got; I thought she was in love with Diaval. I thought it was a bit of a rom-com; I may have been on my own there.”

For her new project, Maria, the actress will portray opera singer Maria Callas. While the movie previously premiered at the Venice Film Festival, the actress talked about her connection with the role during its latest premiere in Los Angeles.

The Eternals actress shared that while the audience believes that the connection between her and Callas is about multiple things, she believes that loneliness connects her to the opera singer.

Elaborating on the statements, she said, “I think what we have in common maybe is that we share a certain loneliness in kind of sometimes doing our work where we’re the one, I don’t know, up at night, alone, trying to figure something out or feeling like we have to.”

Maria will be released in selected theaters on November 27.

‘You Are The Coolest’: Beyoncé Honors Her Cowboy Carter Collaborator Willie Nelson, Shares Pictures From Kamala Harris Campaign Event

Beyonce is paying her respects to one of the greatest musicians and guitarists, Willie Nelson, with whom she collaborated on her latest album, Cowboy Carter. On October 28, the Single Ladies hitmaker took to Instagram to share pictures of them posing together at Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign event, which took place in Houston on October 25.

Beyonce addressed the crowd at the event with her encouraging speech while Nelson took the stage to perform. “The Great Willie! You are the coolest!” she wrote in the post’s caption. “I admire you, and I sincerely thank you for being the pioneer you are,” she added. One of the snaps included them posing together; another featured Beyonce’s mother, Tina Knowles, in the frame.

The Texas Hold Em singer thanked Nelson for his impactful music, advocacy, and support for fellow artists. She further shared how kind he was to her and the girls of Destiny’s Child — an all-girls pop music group Beyonce was part of in the early stages of her career — when they were fan-girling over him.

“You are one of our national treasures. Sending my love to you,” she added. Beyonce’s former bandmate Kelly Rowland also accompanied her at the campaign event. During her speech, the Grammy winner addressed the crowd with a moving speech about motherhood and how people’s voting decisions will impact the future of the forthcoming generation.

Beyonce, who shared daughter Blue Ivy and 7-year-old twins Rumi and Sir, with husband JAY-Z, encouraged the listeners to vote because each vote and voice matters. “I’m not here as a celebrity, I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother,” she said.

“A mother who cares deeply about the world my children and all of our children live in, a world where we have the freedom to control our bodies, a world where we’re not divided,” she explained.

Beyonce appeared at Harris’ campaign event after she permitted Harris’s official campaign video to use her song Freedom in July.

Chhaava star Vicky Kaushal recalls his decision to change profession after ‘visiting multinational company’; ‘Couldn’t see myself stuck in…’

Vicky Kaushal is the son of action director Sham Kaushal. However, he did not always intend to become an actor or enter the entertainment industry. Recently, Vicky shared that he initially planned to settle abroad after completing his post-graduation. However, during an industrial visit to a multinational company, he realized that he did not want to work in a cubicle, which led him to change his career path.

In a candid interview with Harper’s Bazaar India digital edition, Vicky Kaushal recalled his past and what made him change his profession. For the unversed, he holds a degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering. Like most parents, Vicky’s father wanted him to have a stable career, unlike the one he had experienced in showbiz.

The Bad Newz actor had decided to take science, did engineering, and envisioned the typical 9-5 route for himself. Also, he planned to move abroad, but little did he know that his interests lay elsewhere.

He said, “In college, I thought I’d follow the conventional route, maybe settle abroad after my postgraduate degree. But everything changed during an industrial visit to a multinational company.”

The industrial visit to an MNC was a game-changer for him as the workplace gave him a glimpse of his future and how things go behind the scenes in the corporate sector. Kausal mentioned, “The moment I stepped into that office, I knew it wasn’t for me. I couldn’t see myself stuck in a cubicle; I would be so unhappy.”

As a result, the actor decided to change his profession and left the initial plan of taking up a 9 to 5 job. Gradually, he studied acting, participated in theatre, gave auditions, and made announcements to stand-ins until he got his debut film Masaan changing things for him.

Vicky Kaushal was recently in Bad Newz, co-starring Triptii Dimri and Ammy Vikrant. He will next be seen in Chhaava, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna.

Meanwhile, the film has been cleared by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and has a run time of three hours and ten minutes. Moreover, he also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War co-starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in pipeline.
