Grand Alliance chief ministerial candidate and Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, celebrated his 36th birthday on stage during an election rally in Karakat on Sunday.

Madhya Pradesh chief minister Mohan Yadav has assured that Munna Singh Gaud, the father of women’s World Cup–winning cricketer Kranti Gaud, will be reinstated as police constable. Gaud was dismissed in 2012 after an alleged error during election duty. The announcement came during Kranti’s felicitation ceremony in Bhopal, where the CM commended the bowler for bringing glory to the nation and her state.

A 17-year-old boy allegedly shot his schoolmate with his father’s licensed pistol in Gurgaon’s Sector 48, leaving the victim critically injured. The accused and another minor friend were apprehended shortly after the incident. Police recovered the weapon and ammunition from the rented accommodation, with the motive reportedly stemming from a two-month-old argument.
