He criticized the government for alleged intelligence failure and inadequate security for tourists following the attack.

A BJP functionary, B Saranya, was murdered and beheaded near Thanjavur, with her stepson and two others surrendering to police. Authorities deny political motives, attributing the crime to a family dispute over property. Saranya had previously been arrested for throwing footwear at a minister’s car in 2022, but police maintain the murder stemmed from internal conflict.
