The roads leading to Himachal’s tourist hotspot of Manali in Kullu district are crammed with vehicles, stuck in massive traffic jams for hours. On one stretch, between Kothi and Manali, the jam stretched for 8 km.

In a tragic turn of events, 37-year-old Alex Jeffrey Pretti, a US citizen, was shot dead by federal immigration agents in Minneapolis. Officials confirmed that during a large immigration enforcement operation, Pretti brandished a weapon and resisted arrest, prompting a Border Patrol agent to open fire in self-defense.
