Coordinators of the recent student protests in Bangladesh proposed forming a new interim government with Nobel Peace laureate Muhammad Yunus as chief advisor. The announcement was made in a video on Facebook. The Bangladesh army chief scheduled a meeting with protest leaders at 12 pm local time the same day.

The incident which occurred at around 5 am on August 2 in Konanakunte police station limits of South Bengaluru was caught on CCTV camera of a house on the road, and it went viral on social media platforms
