Several deaths are being reported from the Canadian city of Vancouver after a driver ran over a crowd at a street festival. The local police said the incident occurred around 8 pm (local time). The driver has been taken into custody by the police.

Hussein al-Sheikh was detained by Israeli forces for 11 years.

FBI Chief Kash Patel described the deadly assault as a “reminder of the constant threats our world faces from the evils of terrorism.”
