The water level in Yamuna river at Delhi’s Old Railway Bridge reached 205.79 metres, slightly short of the 206-metre evacuation level, at 8 am on Tuesday.

The Congress has nominated B Sudershan Reddy as their candidate for the upcoming Vice Presidential elections, as announced by Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge. Reddy, born in 1946 and an advocate since 1971, previously served as a Government Pleader in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. This decision follows discussions among opposition leaders and comes after the NDA nominated CP Radhakrishnan.

B Sudershan Reddy, the Opposition’s candidate for the the vice-presidential election, is a former Supreme Court judge. He also served as Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court.
