Welcome to Samdal-ri is a romance drama directed by Cha Young-hoon, known for his work in Korean drama When the Camellia Blooms. The story revolves around Jo Yong-pil (Ji Chang-wook), who has dedicated his life to protecting his hometown on Jeju Island. His childhood friend, Jo Sam-dal (Shin Hye-sun), on the other hand, left Samdal-ri to pursue her dream of becoming a photographer in Seoul. However, when her successful life suddenly crumbles, she is forced to return to Samdal-ri.
