Neetu Kapoor is currently busy promoting her latest film Daadi Ki Shaadi, which also stars her daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni. During one of the promotional events, the veteran actress opened up about her family and also shared some titbits about her granddaughter, Raha Kapoor.  

On Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, she spoke about Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter and said, “She would come every morning and say, ‘Dida Dida, let’s do pedicure.’ So I get this water for her, garam karke, we put our feet inside and then I say, ‘You know this costs money, do you have money?’ And then she says, ‘Yes, I have money,’ and then she gives me pretend money. It’s so cute.”

The actress further revealed that she takes Raha to her dressing room and the latter then puts rollers in her hair and does her makeup. Neetu called it the ‘dress-up game.’

She also gets into playful disagreements with Alia over pampering Raha. She continued, “I am always fighting with her, saying, ‘Alia, at least let me give her one chocolate.’ But she says, ‘No, can’t you understand sugar is not good for her?’ I tell her, ‘It’s okay, I am the grandmother, let me spoil her.’”

Meanwhile, talking of Daadi Ki Shaadi, the film is by Rtake Studios, BeingU Studios and Shimla Talkies, and directed by Ashish R. Mohan. Along with Neetu and Riddhima, the cast also includes Sarath Kumar and Sadia Khateeb in important roles. The story explores relationships, emotions and second chances within a family setup. It was released in theatres on May 8. Ahead of the release, the makers organised a special screening on May 5, which was attended by Ranbir, Alia and veteran actress Rekha, among others.
