Diwali turned into a double celebration. The reason? Team India’s victory against the Netherlands in yesterday’s World Cup match. We couldn’t help but appreciate KL Rahul’s fantastic century. While he was engrossed on the field, Athiya Shetty felt his absence, especially as it was their first Diwali as a married couple. She shared a picture of ladoos on her Instagram Stories with the caption, “Missing Ahan Shetty (her brother) and KL Rahul.”

Wondering where Sonam Kapoor celebrated her Diwali? Let’s shine some light on that. She marked the special occasion at the residence of the designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla, accompanied by her husband Anand Ahuja. Another couple joined them, Sonam’s sister Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani. Rhea shared pictures from their celebration, and our food-loving souls couldn’t help but notice a large tray filled with Diwali delights such as chakli, kachori, sev, shakkar para, and balu shahi. Rhea captioned the post by writing, “A very happy, sunny, fabulous, carefree Goa Diwali from us to you! Love Rhea, Karan, Sonam, and Anand. Reporting live from the haus of Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla.”

Video: 2 Bursting Crackers Run Over By Car In Noida, Driver Arrested

A shocking video has emerged from Noida in which a car is seen running over two people while they were bursting firecrackers on Diwali night. Both the people – a five-year-old girl and an elderly man – were seriously injured in the incident and admitted to hospital. The incident took place near Eldeco Amantran in Sector 119, according to local outlets.

The video, shot by the resident of a highrise building nearby, shows the red car coming in at high speed on the road where some people were bursting crackers.

The red Maruti Swift then crushes a girl and a man who were on the road and speeds away. Shocked locals then rush to check the victims.

Some new outlets reported that the victims were rushed to a nearby private hospital for medical care.

Another similar incident was reported from Greater Noida West where a car driver tried to run over a man celebrating Diwali on the side of the road. The incident took place near Gaur City 7th Avenue on Sunday night.

The police said they arrested the car driver after scanning the CCTV footage from nearby buildings. Further legal action is being taken, the police further said in the social media post.

Despite a blanket ban on fireworks in Delhi and nearby cities in NCR due to pollution and worsening air quality, people engaged in bursting firecrackers on Diwali night.

The air quality in Delhi recorded a massive 140 per cent jump in the levels of PM2.5, the major pollutant that affects lungs and causes major health issues a day after Diwali.

The amount of PM2.5 was recorded at 200.8 at 7am on Monday. It was 83.5 at the same time on Sunday, according to data recorded by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Ahmed Siam Killed: 5 Points On Hamas Commander Who Held 1,000 Hostages

The Israeli military claimed it killed a senior Hamas commander in an airstrike, who was responsible for holding approximately 1,000 people and patients as hostages in a Gaza hospital. In a tweet posted on X, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that Ahmed Siam was also responsible for preventing the evacuation of Gaza residents to the Southward.

”IDF aircraft just struck Ahmed Siam, responsible for holding approximately 1,000 Gazan residents and patients hostage at the Rantisi Hospital and preventing their evacuation southward. Siam was a commander in Hamas’ Naser Radwan Company and is another example of Hamas using civilians in Gaza as human shields for terrorist purposes,” the tweet read.

Who is Ahmed Sian?

Ahmed Siam was a company commander of Hamas’s Naser Radwan Company, according to the IDF. He was struck via a fighter jet while hiding at the al-Buraq school in Gaza City, along with other Hamas operatives under his command. The IDF said that they had received intelligence gathered by the Shin Bet and Military Intelligence Directorate regarding his whereabouts. The Givati Brigade troops guided the fighter jet to strike the location where the Hamas terrorist was hiding. The strike on Siam came shortly after the IDF accused him of keeping about 1,000 civilians hostages inside Gaza City’s al-Rantisi Hospital, home to Gaza’s only pediatric cancer ward.Israel said that Siam’s actions proved that Hamas uses the civilians of the Gaza Strip as human shields for terror purposes. Israel’s military also said Hamas uses hospitals as operational bases and hides weapons in tunnels underneath them, although Hamas denied these charges.

Israeli forces have also killed several other Hamas operatives linked to the October 7 attacks, during which the Palestinian group launched an unprecedented assault on Israel. Hamas operatives including Ali Qadi, Muetaz Eid, Zachariah Abu Ma’amar, Joad Abu Shmalah, Belal Alqadra, and Merad Abu Merad have all been eliminated by Israel.

The war between Israel and Hamas has killed an estimated 11,000 Palestinians, according to the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry.
