Days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Canada, India on Thursday said it is looking at strengthening the bilateral partnership with Ottawa in several areas including trade and energy.

US President Donald Trump hinted at a significant trade deal with India, following a recent agreement with China. Negotiations are underway in Washington, led by Chief Negotiator Rajesh Agarwal, aiming to bridge gaps in the proposed bilateral agreement.

During the recent conflict, Israeli defence minister Israel Katz revealed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was a target for assassination but evaded capture by going into hiding. Despite this, Israel launched airstrikes, killing Iranian commanders and nuclear scientists, aiming to destabilize Iran’s leadership.
