Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has accused the Jharkhand government of spying on former chief minister Champai Soren, who is set to join the BJP. Two police officers were reportedly caught monitoring Soren in Delhi. Soren is expected to resign from his current posts and join the BJP, citing the need to protect tribal identity in Jharkhand.

Collector Bhavya Mittal stated that the Public Works Department (PWD) has been instructed to fill the potholes, and work has already begun.

The police have registered an FIR in connection to the matter and arrested the individuals involved
