The All India Brahmin Society condemned the remarks as “indecent” and “casteist,” demanding an FIR and disciplinary action. The officer later clarified his statement was taken out of context, expressing regret if sentiments were hurt.

According to investigators, the accused already had three daughters and was hoping for a male child.
