A Canadian citizen triggered panic at Varanasi airport on Saturday night after falsely claiming to have a bomb on an IndiGo flight headed to Bengaluru. The aircraft was immediately grounded and thoroughly inspected, leading to the passenger’s detention and a detailed investigation. No explosives were found, and the flight resumed its journey on Sunday morning after security clearance.

Videos of the incident shared online depict several men attacking police vans in the convoy with tyres. They hurled tyres at the vehicles.
