Mariyam Shiuna, Maldivian politician, issued an apology amidst a controversy surrounding a deleted social media post that was perceived as disrespectful towards the Indian National Flag. The post, now taken down, displayed a campaign poster from an opposition party, seemingly adorned with the Ashok Chakra commonly seen on the white central band of the Indian flag. Following widespread backlash and public outcry, Shiuna removed the post and subsequently issued an apology.

PM Modi emphasized the importance of shared responsibility in addressing the sensitive situation in Manipur and highlighted the notable improvement in the state’s condition, attributing it to the timely interventions of the central government and the dedicated efforts of the state administration. Speaking with Assam Tribune, Prime Minister Modi underscored the commitment of the central government, stating that it has deployed its top resources and administrative mechanisms towards resolving the conflict in Manipur.

“We are not inclined to entertain the present petition,” a bench of Justices B R Gavai and Sandeep Mehta said
