Dune: Prophecy: Vishal Bhardwaj is ‘filled with pride’ as the trailer of Tabu starrer releases; calls her ‘pound of my heart’

The trailer of the highly-awaited Tabu starrer Dune: Prophecy was released by the makers today i.e. October 18, 2024. Elated and proud of the development, veteran filmmaker and actress’ close friend Vishal Bhardwaj has sent a major shout out to the ‘pound of his heart.’

Today, on October 18, Vishal Bhardwaj took to his Instagram handle and shared the trailer of the upcoming series, Dune: Prophecy. The series also stars Tabu in the key role.

The veteran filmmaker dedicated his latest post to the actress expressing in the caption, “Filled with pride and joy for the pound of my heart @tabutiful jiska koi sani nahi.”

Touched by Bhardwaj’s sweet gesture, the Khufiya actress replied in the comments section stating, “I love you more than I can say…” followed by multiple pink heart emojis.

In addition to this, several fans also gushed over the actress as they reacted to the post. A user wrote, “@tabutiful ufff,” a second fan mentioned, “Well deserved, she is truly a terrific performer” and another fan commented, “@tabutiful bestttt” along with multiple clap, red-heart, heart-eye and clap emojis.

In a conversation at the IMDb’s exclusive segment, On The Scene, Vishal had heaped praise on Tabu calling her a “fine actor.” He further noted that she is a “nuanced actor” and a “sensitive person” who has a “solid sense of humour.”

According to him, all these traits make her a beautiful woman who is “sophisticated” in her performance.

“On top of that, I have such a deep understanding with her, almost like that of a soul mate. We don’t have to speak to each other, but we know what we mean to each other,” said Bhardwaj who has collaborated with Tabu on movies like Maqbool and Haider.

The upcoming series, Dune: Prophecy will be a six-episode show. It is inspired by the novel, Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.

Apart from Tabu, it also stars Emily Watson, Olivia Williams, Travis Fimmel, Joshi May, Josh Heuston, Emma Canning., Jessica Barden among others.

The series will start premiering from November 18, 2024 on JioCinema with new episodes releasing every week on Monday.

THROWBACK: When Shah Rukh Khan revealed he called his wife Gauri Khan ‘bhabhi’ in Delhi; the reason will leave you in splits

Bollywood legend Shah Rukh Khan offers a peek into his personal life in several interviews, often mentioning his wife, Gauri Khan, and their children. He once shared a funny quirk: he habitually calls Gauri ‘bhabhi’ while they’re out in Delhi, and his explanation behind this will leave you in splits.Yes, you heard it right!

During a memorable episode of The Kapil Sharma Show in 2016, Shah Rukh Khan took a trip down memory lane to share a comical story from his childhood in Delhi. He recounted a time when he got into trouble with a group of tough guys for calling a girl his girlfriend.

The Pathaan actor humorously explained that while he was hanging out in Green Park with his girlfriend, they were confronted by a group of rowdy boys, whom he humorously referred to as ‘shode’, meaning idiots. He recounted the incident, saying that one of the boys approached him and asked who the girl was.

Feeling confident, he boldly replied that she was his girlfriend. The boy shot back, telling him she wasn’t his girlfriend but rather his sister-in-law. Despite his attempts to stand his ground, he ended up getting beaten up.

He recalled how he struggled to say ‘girlfriend’ before they pounced on him, and one of them threw a clay cup right at his face. Even now, whenever he goes out with his wife in Delhi and someone asks about her, he instinctively refers to her as his sister-in-law, a habit shaped by that incident.

He said, “Ab yeh zamana aa gaya hai main biwi ke saath bhi Delhi mein nikalta hoon aur koi poochta hai kaun hai toh main kehta hoon meri bhabhi hai.” (Even now, I am so scared that even if I step out with my wife in Delhi and someone asks who she is, I say that she is my sister-in-law).

On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki (2023), directed by Rajkumar Hirani, where he starred opposite Taapsee Pannu. His upcoming project is King, an action thriller helmed by Sujoy Ghosh, in which he shares the screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan.

This film is being produced by Siddharth Anand and is expected to hit theaters during Eid 2026. He is also set to make a special guest appearance in Stardom, the debut series by his son, Aryan Khan.

In Big Relief For Sadhguru, Top Court Dismisses Case Against Isha Foundation

The Supreme Court on Friday cancelled all proceedings against the Isha Foundation over a father’s claims his two daughters had been “brainwashed” into joining spiritual leader Sadhguru’s ashram in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore, and denied their family contact with them.

The petition – claiming unlawful detention of the women – was rejected as both Geeta and Lata were adults and living in the ashram of their “own free will”, a bench led by Chief Justice DY Chandrachud ruled this afternoon. The order, however, is for this case only, the court also said.

The court said the Madras High Court – which ordered an inquiry into the habeas corpus petition, after which police raided the ashram – acted in a “completely inappropriate” manner.

The Supreme Court noted that since neither of the daughters was a minor – they were 27 and 24 when the joined the ashram – and that the purpose of the habeas corpus petition was fulfilled by their appearing in the High Court, “no further directions were needed” from that judicial forum.

Proceedings such as this could not be used to “malign people and institutions”, the Chief Justice said in oral remarks on this case, according to legal news website Live Law.

Earlier this month the Supreme Court transferred to itself the case then heard by the Madras High Court, and halted an order directing police to investigate the father’s allegations.

Following the High Court’s order hundreds of cops raided the Isha Foundation, prompting the appeal – against a police inquiry being conducted inside the ashram – to the Supreme Court.

Isha Foundation had then, and now denied the charges and said the women – now 42 and 39 – were willing residents. They appeared in front of the High Court and affirmed the Foundation’s statement; one of the women also appeared before the Supreme Court, via video link.

She told the court her sister and she were willing residents and that their father had been harassing them for eight years. She also said their mother had similarly harassed them.

Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, appearing for the Isha Foundation, pointed out today that even Tamil Nadu Police’s status report noted the women were voluntarily residing at the ashram.

The court also spoke to the father and pointed out he could not “control” the lives of his grown children. In oral observations he was told to “win their confidence” instead of filing petitions.
