But it quickly cuts back to Prabhas’ hilarious characterization and his humour gestures. During his recent Instagram Live, Ranbir opened up about Love & War. He said, “Love & War, is a film directed by Mr. Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It stars one of my two favourite actors, Vicky Kaushal and of course my super talented wife Alia Bhatt. It is directed by the man who taught me everything about cinema, whatever I know about acting, was seeded in by. He was a master then and I’m working with him 18 years later, and he’s even bigger master today. So I’m very happy with that collaboration.”
The last time Sanjay and Ranbir collaborated was in Saawariya. As Ranbir’s debut film, Saawariya was a one-of-a-kind love story starring the actor, alongside then debutant Sonam Kapoor. Now, 18 years later, it is exciting to see this director-actor duo come together again and create Love & War. The movie will be released on March 20, 2026.

In other news, Ranbir also shared that he wants to direct a movie soon. “I am dying to direct a movie. I have actually started a writers’ room recently. I am trying to inspire myself with the two ideas I have. I am starting to work on it, but it is definitely on my to-do list in the next couple of years,” he further shared.
