Squid Game 2: Lee Jung Jae returns as player 456 with new contestants

Squid Game is one of the most anticipated upcoming Korean series. After unveiling new stills and a teaser, the makers have now shared a clip introducing Lee Jung Jae’s Seong Gi Hun along with new contestants who signed up for the deadly game.

The clip opens with a montage of players wearing green tracksuits marked with various numbers. It ends with Lee Jung Jae’s player no, 456. Check it out here:

The official synopsis reads, “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 gave up going to the States and comes back with a new resolution in his mind. Gi-hun once again dives into the mysterious survival game, starting another life-or-death game with new participants gathered to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”

Squid Game 2 will see Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Jun and Gong Yoo reprise their roles. The new cast members include Yim Si Wan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Gyu Young, Lee Jin Uk and more. The series will release on December 26, 2024.
