Taylor Swift Thanks Sabrina Carpenter For Surprise Eras Tour Appearance; Gives Her THIS Special Title

Taylor Swift took to social media this week to share her appreciation for Sabrina Carpenter, who joined her on stage for a surprise duet during her Eras Tour in New Orleans.

Swift praised Carpenter’s dedication to her fans, even as she juggled her own Short n’ Sweet Tour, giving her the title of “pop princess of our dreams” on Instagram. Carpenter’s guest appearance was one of the highlights of Swift’s three-night stint in The Big Easy, which ran from October 24 to October 27.

In an Instagram post shared on October 29, Swift thanked Carpenter for her visit, sharing how she used one of her rare days off to bring an unexpected moment of joy to Swift’s fans. “One of the things I’ll always remember from this weekend was getting to surprise the crowd with a performance by the pop princess of our dreams, @sabrinacarpenter,” Swift wrote.

She stated about Carpenter’s relentless tour schedule, calling her show “physically full-on and spectacular.” Swift added, “She could’ve been resting in her time off.”

Swift elaborated on her admiration for Carpenter’s commitment to her audience, saying, “She does things like this, goes out of her way to give fans a surprise moment they didn’t expect. She’s as real as they come, and I’m so thankful she did that for us.”

Carpenter joined Swift on stage at the Caesars Superdome on Saturday, October 27, as part of the Eras Tour’s surprise acoustic segment. Carpenter had just performed in Tampa, Florida, the night before and made the quick trip to New Orleans to reunite with Swift for the night.

Her appearance added an exciting twist to the show, with Swift building up anticipation by performing an acoustic version of Carpenter’s hit song Espresso before inviting her on stage.

Teasing the crowd, Swift said, “I think tonight I’m gonna do something completely different, which is I’m gonna sing a song that’s not mine, but it’s by somebody that I really love.” She then asked fans, “How loud can you sing this song?”

Swift continued to praise Carpenter’s success this year, stating, “I love my friend, and I’m just so proud of Sabrina and the year that she’s had. Her tour, you can’t get tickets to it, the album is No. 1 constantly, and I’m just, like, … is it okay if I call her and you guys can say hi?”

Swift then called Carpenter on the phone, asking, “What are you doing? Why aren’t you here with us?” to which Carpenter responded with a playful comment about being somewhere with lots of screaming. Moments later, Carpenter appeared on stage, to surprise the crowd.

Together, Swift and Carpenter performed a mashup that included Carpenter’s Espresso and Swift’s Is It Over Now? They ended their set with Carpenter’s Please, Please, Please. The crowd at the Superdome erupted in cheers as the two stars performed together, showcasing their chemistry and genuine friendship.

Thama: Stree 2’s Rajkummar Rao sends love to Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s next with director Aditya Sarpotdar; ‘It is going to be epic ‘

Actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna have joined Maddock’s horror-comedy universe with a romantic storyline. The announcement of their new film, titled Thama, was made on Wednesday, October 30. Welcoming them, Stree 2 actor  Rajkummar Rao took to Instagram to express excitement, stating that it’s “going to be epic.”

Rao shared the movie announcement video on his Instagram stories and wrote, “#THAMA is going to be epic. #DineshVijan & @amarkaushik Congratulations brothers. @ayushmannk bhai @rashmika_mandanna @pareshrawalofficial sir @nawazuddin.__siddiqui @maddockfilms”.

The first-look video of the film revealed Ayushmann’s name ominously written in blood, accompanied by the eerie screeching of bats in the background. Directed by Munjya fame Aditya Sarpotdar, the film’s script is crafted by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew, and Arun Fulara.

Thama is slated for a major Diwali release next year (2025), joining Maddock’s horror-comedy universe alongside Stree, Stree 2, Munjya, and the Bhediya series. While most details are being kept under wraps, the main cast has been announced.

In addition to Ayushmann Khurrana, Thama features Rashmika Mandanna, Paresh Rawal, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in key roles.

Ayushmann will portray a man-turned-vampire, and he hinted at his character’s look on Instagram a day before the official reveal, sharing a photo of himself with a vampire filter, complete with red eyes and blood dripping from his mouth.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Thama is expected to span two distinct eras: a modern North Indian city and the historic Vijayanagara Empire. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the primary antagonist, a fierce character from centuries past who seeks revenge in the present day.

With a thrilling premise and significant fan excitement, Thama has generated considerable buzz as a fresh addition to the horror-comedy genre.

Meanwhile, Ayushmann, who has been away from films for a while, is hopeful that Thama will mark his return with a box-office success after a string of recent setbacks. This film could be a breakthrough for him.

The film is scheduled to begin production by the end of 2024. This will be Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s first collaboration, with each actor having a unique character arc that is expected to surprise audiences.

Hyderabad Woman, 33, Dies After Eating Momo, 20 Others Have Food Poisoning

A 33-year-old woman died and 20 others suffered food poisoning after eating momos served by a street vendor at different locations in Hyderabad’s Banjara Hills area, police have said.

Reshma Begum and her daughters, aged 12 and 14, ate momos from a street vendor in Khairatabad Friday. Soon after, they started suffering from diarrhoea, stomach pain and vomiting. She died Sunday morning and her daughters are under treatment. Reshma Begum was a single mother and is survived by her daughters.

Ram Babu, Sub-inspector of Banjara Hills Police Station, told news agency PTI, “We received a complaint yesterday that Reshma Begum (33) died and 15 others suffered food poisoning after consuming memos (street food) from a single vendor at different locations. We have registered a case and are investigating the matter.”

An investigation has found that the vendor was operating without any food safety licence and that food was being prepared in unhygienic conditions. The dough used to prepare momos was placed in the refrigerator without any packing, the probe found. It also found that the refrigerator door was broken. Samples from the food vendor have been sent for lab analysis.

Following the police complaint by Reshma Begum’s family, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation’s food safety department and police located the street vendor. Two people running the stall have been detained and a case of culpable homicide not amounting to murder filed.
