Akshay Kumar to Charge THIS Whopping Amount for Golmaal 5?

Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, who is widely known as the King of Comedy in Bollywood, is gearing up to join the cast of Golmaal 5. According to recent reports, the actor is charging around 35-40 crore for his 18 to 22-day shoot, which is way more than the film’s lead actor, Ajay Devgn’s upfront fees.

A source close to IANS knows about the development and went on to share: “Akshay Kumar is shooting for 18-22 days, and he is getting around 35-40 crores, which is more than Ajay Devgn’s upfront fees because he is on a profit- sharing basis.”

Director Rohit Shetty had recently made an announcement about ‘Golmaal 5’ on the occasion of his 52nd birthday in March. It was also on the filmmaker’s birthday that the news of Akshay Kumar being a “surprise package” in Golmaal 5 was revealed. In the BTS moments shared by Rohit Shetty from the sets of Golmaal 5, the bald look of Akshay Kumar was revealed.

Ajay Devgn, lead actor of the film, revealed on April 27 that the new shoot schedule for the film had commenced. The actor had also shared a fun video montage from Ooty

featuring Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Shreyas Talpade, and Kunal Kemmu.

The first instalment of the Golmaal film series, it stars Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, and Sharman Joshi, along with Rimi Sen and Paresh Rawal.

According to reports from News18, it is based on Harsh Shivsharan’s Marathi play Ghar Ghar, which also inspired Vora’s Gujarati play Aflatoon, in turn one of the inspirations for the film. The film was followed by 4 sequels, such as Golmaal Returns, which was released in 2008, 2010’s Golmaal 3 and Golmaal Again, which hit the silver screen in 2017.

All the films starred Ajay, Arshad, Tusshar, Sanjay Mishra, Vrajesh Hirjee and Mukesh Tiwari, with Shreyas Talpade appearing in three, Kunal Khemu and Johnny Lever in two. Akshay is joining the fifth instalment.

In other recent news, Director Rohit Shetty, along with Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi, revived nostalgia on May 14 as he recreated the iconic race car scene from the 2006 hit ‘ Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’.

The scene had Arshad, who plays Madhav and Sharman, essaying the role of Laxman, in a chaotic car race designed to win the heart of a girl named Nirali.

In this particular sequence, Sharman’s character, disguised as a woman, and Madhav are seen sitting in a race car and waving. The video then transitions from their characters 20 years ago to the present day, recreating the same iconic waving scene.

“Driving down the memory lane! How old were you when you watched the first Golmaal? We promise you’ll relive those happy days very soon..ilming in progress,” Rohit wrote in the caption.

Tara Sutaria Channels Timeless Glamour in Ivory Satin Gown Adorned With Emerald Jewels

Tara Sutaria recently made her debut at the Cannes Film Festival. For one of her looks, she embraced old-Hollywood glamour in an ivory satin gown that perfectly balanced elegance with drama. The structured Vivienne Westwood corset silhouette featured a soft cowl neckline, while the fluid draping across the bodice and hips added a romantic and sculpted effect. The standout detail, however, was the exaggerated cape-style sleeves that cascaded effortlessly from her arms. The sweeping train and liquid-like fabric movement elevated the monochrome look into something timeless and luxurious.

She paired the outfit with striking emerald and diamond jewellery that added a rich burst of colour against the muted ivory palette. For her beauty look, Tara opted for luminous skin with softly contoured cheeks, nude glossy lips and subtly smoked-out eyes that enhanced her features without overpowering the outfit. Fluttery lashes and perfectly groomed brows completed the polished makeup.

Her hair was styled in a sleek centre-parted bun. It added sharpness and structure to the otherwise fluid silhouette.

Welcome to the Jungle

The teaser for Welcome to the Jungle has been unveiled today. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueliene Fernandez, Disha Patani, Tusshar Kapoor, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek and Kiku Sharda in leading roles.

As per the teaser, the film centres around a fake film which has gone totally wrong. The events comprise madness and chaos, as the characters try to complete their movie. While Akshay Kumar begins shooting with full fervour, he quits in the middle but is reminded of the money he would be receiving at the end of it. The teaser begins with the disclaimer, “In the making of this film, no animals were used. Sivaay kuchh ghodon ke aur hum gadhon ke (Except for a few horses and some donkeys like us) (sic).”

Welcome To The Jungle is produced by Firoz A Nadiadwala under the banner of Base Industries Group and directed by Ahmed Khan. The film is set for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026.

On the professional front, Akshay was last seen in Bhooth Bangla. He starred in it, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, Jisshu Sengupta, Rajpal Yadav, Tabu, Mithila Palkar, Manoj Joshi, Zakir Hussain and late actor Asrani in key roles.

The first film in the franchise, Welcome, was released in 2007. Welcome was followed by the second film, Welcome Back, which came out in 2015. Both the films were directed by Anees Bazmee.

Some time back, a poster of Akshay was released from the movie. He is seen making an entrance and the the jungle itself seems to be rolling out the red carpet for him. He is dressed well and seems to be in command of the situation. However, the teaser gives us an opposite impression, where Akshay seems clueless, alongside his cast members.
