Following the deadly Pahalgam attack, authorities in Jammu and Kashmir have intensified their crackdown on terrorism by demolishing the houses of three more active terrorists in Bandipora, Pulwama, and Shopian districts. These actions bring the total number of demolitions to nine, targeting individuals involved in terror activities and linked to groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba.

In J&K’s Anantnag, Shahzada Bano’s house was demolished after her son, Adil Hussain Thoker, was named a suspect in the Pahalgam attack. Adil’s family claims no contact since 2018, when he left for an exam. Bano pleads for his surrender. Security forces searched the home before demolition, detaining Adil’s father, brothers, and cousins. Neighbors recall Adil as a dedicated student.

Prasanna Kumar Bhat, who visited Pahalgam with his family, survived the attack along with 35-40 others thanks to quick thinking by his brother, who is an Army officer.
