A Delhi airport canopy collapsed after heavy rain on Friday morning, resulting in one fatality and multiple injuries. The incident, which took place at Terminal 1, has sparked political controversy. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge criticised PM Modi, stating that the canopy section that collapsed was integrated by PM Modi on March 10. Union civil aviation minister Ram Mohan Naidu visited the site shortly after the collapse and clarified the situation. Heavy rains lashed Delhi and NCR region after days of sweltering heat.

They were arrested on Thursday from the Colombo suburbs of Madiwela and Battaramulla and from the western coastal town of Negombo
