A group of transwomen heading to RG Kar Medical College filed an FIR alleging an RPF constable groped one of them at Rabindra Sadan metro station, questioning her gender. The constable reportedly made inappropriate remarks and the incident drew prompt social media attention. Metro Railway and RPF denied the allegations, counter-filing an FIR against the group.

Kolkata Police summoned BJP leader Locket Chatterjee and two doctors for allegedly spreading misinformation and revealing the identity of a raped and murdered woman doctor. The police also summoned 57 others involved in disseminating false information. The accused individuals have denied the allegations and expressed willingness to cooperate with the investigation.
