Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday proposed a new law to punish those who insult any religion and revealed that the state government is planning to amend existing laws to ensure stricter punishment for anyone who abuses a religion.

At least nine people were killed and 10 wounded in a mass shooting at a tavern in Bekkersdal, near Johannesburg, early Sunday. Gunmen arrived in two vehicles and fired indiscriminately at patrons inside and outside the bar. This is the second mass shooting in South Africa this month, highlighting the country’s ongoing struggle with violent crime.
