A political clash erupted between Congress and BJP after Karnataka governor Thaawarchand Gehlot allowed the prosecution of CM Siddaramaiah over the alleged Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) scam. Congress leaders defended Siddaramaiah, asserting the move as a conspiracy. Meanwhile, BJP demanded Siddaramaiah’s resignation for a fair investigation. The Karnataka government plans to challenge the governor’s decision in court.
