Violence broke out in Assam’s West Karbi Anglong district after protesters demanded the eviction of encroachers from grazing lands in two districts.

Six Maoists, including CPI (Maoist) central committee member Ganesh Uike, were eliminated by security forces in Odisha’s Kandhamal district in the last two days.
