The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a widespread alert for severe weather across India, including thunderstorms, lightning, hailstorms, and heavy rainfall. Residents are advised to take precautions and avoid unnecessary travel. The alert covers a vast region from East Rajasthan to Gangetic West Bengal, with strong winds and hailstorms expected in several states.
