‘I’m So Honored’: Zooey Deschanel Talks About ‘Amazing’ Bridgerton Kiss Inspired By Passionate Scene From New Girl

Bridgerton season 3 had been in the news for various positive reasons. While the audience loved the chemistry between Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan, who portrayed the roles of Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherington.

One of the scenes from the show that got the fans excited was a prompt kiss between the characters. Speaking of the episode, the showrunner, Jess Brownell, revealed in her recent interview that the kiss was inspired by the passionate kiss by Nick and Jess from New Girl.

In conversation with Entertainment Weekly for the promotions of Bridgerton season 3, Brownell had shared, “Nicola sent a clip of Nick and Jess’s first kiss from New Girl, which is also a very passionate, slamming-together kiss.”

The latest season of the Netflix show was filled with intimate moments, and the fans wonder if the level of closeness between the characters will continue in the upcoming episodes as well.

Meanwhile, Zooney Deschanel, who played the lead role of Jess in New Girl, reacted to the iconic scene from her show being an inspiration for the Shondaland series.

During the promotions of her new movie, Harold and the Purple Crayon, Deschanel expressed her excitement over the kissing frame. The 500 Days of Summer actress stated, “Oh my God, I’m so honored, that’s amazing.” She went on to add, “The fact that it filtered into a show like Bridgerton is incredible.”

Addressing the details of the kiss shared between Nick and Jess in season 2 of New Girl, the actress claimed that the writers and the production team put in a lot of thought as it was a pivotal frame for the characters and the audience, who were yet to discover if the leads will end up together or not.

Deschanel played the role of Jess Day for 7 seasons on the Fox Network show. New Girl was a lighthearted sitcom revolving around a group of people who figure out their paths in life through love and friendships.

As for the plot, the logline of the show read, “Jess, a middle-school teacher, moves into an apartment with three men after she finds her boyfriend with another woman and breaks up with him.”

The episodes of New Girl are available to stream on Disney+, and the 3 seasons of Bridgerton can be binged on Netflix.

Shailene Woodley Is All Hearts For Fault In Our Stars Co-Actor Ansel Elgort: ‘He Brings Out The Best In Me’

It’s no secret that Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort have great on-screen chemistry, as seen in Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars. But it turns out the duo is quite close in real life, and as Woodley claims, they bring out the best in each other!

In an interview with Bustle, the Three Women actress gushed about her bond with her former co-star, saying that she “loves” Elgort “with all of my heart and soul.” adding, “I think that he is one of the brightest lights on this planet.”

The actress recalled the time she was cast as the love interest of the Baby Driver actor after playing brother and sister in their previous film Divergent. “I was a little like, ‘Oh, okay….’ ” she said. However, one perk about after working with each other the second time, was the bond they had established earlier. “So there was a safety and comfortability around us both,” she added.

The Big Little Lies actress further gushed about the actor, saying they bring out the “best” in each other. “It’s one of the things I’m the most proud of,” she added. Woodley credited their effortless chemistry on Fault in Our Stars to their closeness in real life because “the more you get to know somebody on a personal level, the more free you feel artistically.”

The duo starred in the 2014 hit film adapted from John Green’s eponymous book as Hazel Grace Lancaster (Woodley) and Augustus Waters (Elgort). Their effortless portrayals in the tragic love story were highly appreciated, and as per the actress, it would not have been possible if they hadn’t worked before on Divergent. “If Ansel and I hadn’t known each other from Divergent, our relationship in [The Fault in Our Stars] would not be what it is.”

The actors are pretty close in real life and went on an Italian vacation together in September 2022. The West Side Story actor shared snaps from the outing, which featured the co-stars cuddling and smiling at the camera. “It’s the time of the season for loving,” he captioned the post.

Trainee Army Officers Robbed In Madhya Pradesh, Woman Friend Raped

Two young army officers and their women friends were brutally attacked by armed miscreants near Jam Gate, Indore district, Madhya Pradesh, late on Tuesday evening. The attackers, who initially appeared to have come with the intention of looting, viciously assaulted the officers and gang-raped one of the women.

The police have arrested two of the accused, one of whom was found to have a prior criminal record.

The officers, who are undergoing training at Mhow Army College, had gone out with the women near the firing range at Chhoti Jam in the afternoon.

Suddenly they were surrounded by eight men brandishing pistols, knives, and sticks. The men beat up the trainee officers and the women before robbing them of their money and belongings.

The situation escalated when the attackers took one officer and a woman hostage, sending the other officer and a woman to fetch a ransom of Rs 10 lakh.

Panicking, the officer hurried back to his unit and informed his commanding officer, who swiftly alerted the police.

Officers from Dial-100, along with military personnel, rushed to the scene, but the attackers fled upon seeing the approaching vehicles.
All four were taken to the Mhow Civil Hospital for medical examination around 6.30 am. Doctors said both officers had been injured.

The medical examination also proved that one of the women was raped, reported news agency Press Trust of India, quoting Lokendra Singh Hirore, in-charge of the Badgonda police station.

“A case under (BNS) sections pertaining to loot, dacoity, rape and under the Arms Act has been registered,” said Indore Rural SP Hitika Vasal, PTI reported. A manhunt has started for the other criminals involved, the officer said.
