Rohit Saraf likely to star opposite Nitanshi Goel and Rasha Thadani in a Love Story

Bollywood’s growing interest in emotionally driven, youth-centric romances appears to be shaping a promising new project. According to reports, producers Atul Kasbekar and Tanuj Garg are in discussions with Rohit Saraf, Nitanshi Goel and Rasha Thadani to headline an intense Gen Z love story that places relationships and emotional conflict at its core.

As per a Mid-Day report, the film is envisioned as a high-stakes romantic drama revolving around a complex love triangle. While the project is still in the discussion stage, conversations with the three actors are said to be progressing steadily. The makers are yet to lock a director, but the concept has already generated buzz due to the popularity and contrasting screen personas of the proposed cast.

The timing of the project is seen as strategic. The success of recent romantic films like Saiyaara and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has reinforced the belief that audiences are once again open to theatrical love stories centred on vulnerability, emotions and young relationships, rather than limiting such narratives to OTT platforms.

Rohit Saraf’s casting is reportedly driven by his growing appeal as a sensitive, relatable leading man. Known for projects like Mismatched, Saraf has built a reputation for portraying emotionally grounded characters, offering a refreshing alternative to traditional larger-than-life heroes.

Nitanshi Goel and Rasha Thadani, meanwhile, have both impressed audiences with their recent debuts in Laapataa Ladies(2024) and Azaad (2025) respectively. Their performances were praised for their natural screen presence and emotional authenticity. The producers believe that bringing the trio together could allow all three actors to explore a dramatic, emotionally charged space that is distinct from their previous work.

With casting talks underway and creative elements still being finalised, this Gen Z-led romantic drama is shaping up to be a project to watch, especially as Hindi cinema leans back into stories of young love, passion and emotional complexity.
