An accidental blast at Srinagar’s Nowgam police station injured eight personnel late Friday night while they were extracting samples from a large cache of explosives. The material, part of a ‘white-collar’ terror module case, was seized from a rented residence in Faridabad, Haryana. The module was uncovered after threatening posters targeting security forces.

Several casualties were feared after an explosion took place in a large quantity of ammonium nitrate that was confiscated by the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

A controversy broke out at a premier institute in Kolkata earlier this week over a communal graffiti. A day after the suicide bomb attack near Delhi’s Red Fort, some hate graffiti were seen at the Indian Statistical Institute.
