Suhas, the main accused in the high-profile 2022 murder of Mohammed Fazil, was hacked to death by a group of unidentified assailants in Kinnikambla, Bajpe, on the night of May 1.

Sambit Patra’s attack on Congress leader came amid the ongoing tension with Pakistan after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26.

The police had formed five special teams to apprehend the killers. All the accused are being interrogated.
