Salman Khan Zoya and Farhan Akhtar reveal their favourite dialogues

At the much-anticipated trailer launch of Angry Young Men, Bollywood’s finest gathered for an evening filled with star power and nostalgia. The event, held on 13th August featured Salman Khan, Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, Javed Akhtar, and Salim Khan on stage, discussing the film’s legacy and their favourite dialogues.
When asked about their preferred lines from Salim-Javed’s scripts, Zoya Akhtar picked the iconic “Jo darr gaya samjho marr gaya,” while Farhan Akhtar reminisced about “Don ko pakadna mushkil hi nahi, namumkin hai,” humorously adding, “I’m just paraphrasing one dialogue they have used in a film.” He lightened the mood with a playful “Lunch kab hai? Lunch kab hai? Lunch kab hai?”

Salman Khan followed with his own memorable quote, “Mere paas maa hai… vo bhi 2,” which sparked laughter and applause from the audience. The lively exchange left the room buzzing with energy, making the trailer launch an unforgettable event.

Salman Khan on his favourite Salim-Javed movies

Salman Khan was present at the trailer launch of the Salim-Javed docu-series Angry Young Men. The actor accompanied his father Salim Khan and stayed close to him on stage. When asked about the duo’s best movies, Salman Khan noted that he loves Deewaar, Zanjeer, Don, and Sholay.

The actor also opened up on the moment when he realized he is the iconic Salim Khan’s son. He noted that he had only been acquainted with Salim-Javed’s works as a child. “When I began to understand things, I only understood Salim-Javed. I couldn’t understand anything other than them,” he added.


Other members of the Khan family, including Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Arpita Khan Sharma, and Alvira Khan Agnihotri were present at the event. Javed Akhtar’s family, including Zoya Akhtar, Farhan Akhtar, and Shabana Azmi were also present to support the duo.

“Seek Justice From My Country”: Sheikh Hasina In First Remarks After Ouster

Ousted Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, in first comments after leaving Dhaka, has sought that rioters in the country be punished. She has also sought justice for the vandalism to the statue of her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was also the Founding Father of Bangladesh.

In a three-page emotive statement posted on X by her son, Sheikh Hasina reminisced about the family members she lost when her father was assassinated on August 15, 1975. Mujibur Rahman’s sons and their wives, his bother’s family, close colleagues and asociates were wiped out the same night by the army as part of a coup.  

After paying her respects to them, she turned to the present day, saying the dance of destruction across the country in the name of protest, has also led to many deaths — of “students teachers, police, journalists, social workers, common people, leaders and workers of the Awami League, pedestrians and office workers”.

“For those who have lost theri loved ones like me, i extend my deepest sympathy. And for tgose involved in this slaughter, this destruction, I demand that investigations be held and they be caught and given appropriate punishment,” reads a rough translation of her statement in Bengali.
