Helmed, written and produced by Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh, Raja Shivaji is one of the most talked about films right now. This film is an upcoming Indian historical action drama, based on the life of Shivaji, the founder of Maratha Empire, and encapsulates the legacy of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.

The actor, Riteish Deshmukh has been active in the film industry for almost 25 years now. He also has a huge fanbase of Marathi and Hindi cinema. Moreover, in his entire career he has not once delivered a single flop Marathi film. And, hence, recently with his upcoming film Raja Shivaji, the actor is executing his dream historical spectacle.

However, after watching the trailer, one of the users shared a clip from the promo and tweeted,”The trailer of Riteish Deshmukh’s film shows Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj openly displaying the Wagh Nakh to Afzal Khan before the attack.
It is historical fact that “Wagh Nakh” was concealed and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj used it only after attack by Afzal.
Another user wrote, “WHY IS @RITEISHD MANIPULATING & INSULTING CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ’S & MAHARASHTRA’S HISTORY, LEGACY & PRIDE ???”  Soon after this tweet, the actor responded to the X user, re-tweeting their criticism and wrote,“Respected Sir, pls do watch the film on 1st May.. the answer to your question is there in the movie. I hope you enjoy the film with your friends and family. Jai Shivrai (folded hands emoji).”

Directed by and starring Riteish Deshmukh, the film is set to be a grand-scale biographical epic encompassing the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. In a video that has been widely shared, Sonu urged fans to shift their perspective from grief to celebration. While he admitted that her passing has left him saddened, he emphasised that her journey was full, inspiring, and worth celebrating. According to him, a life as rich and accomplished as hers should not be remembered only with sorrow.

Speaking candidly, Sonu Nigam said that although he feels the loss, he does not want to dwell on sadness. He pointed out that Asha Bhosle remained active and passionate about her work till the very end, something every artist aspires to achieve. He also fondly remembered her as a strict yet fair mentor, calling her his guru and acknowledging the strong influence she had on shaping his early years in music.

He also shared a personal memory from their 1996 US tour, when Asha Bhosle was dealing with a painful heel spur. Drawing from his own experience of seeing his mother go through the same condition, Sonu offered to help. In an interview with NDTV, he recalled how he massaged her feet over a few days, which helped ease her pain. He remembered how she would later bring it up with warmth, making it a special and lasting memory for him.

Asha Bhosle’s career spanned more than seven decades, beginning in the late 1940s. From her early work in Marathi cinema to iconic Hindi songs like Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Dum Maro Dum and Chura Liya Hai Tumne, her voice became timeless. Her contribution to music remains unmatched, and her songs continue to live on as treasured classics.
