Prakash Raj opens up about losing his 5-year-old son Sidharth: ‘It hurts me, it feels very helpless…’

Trigger Warning: This particular article contains information regarding the death of an individual, which might be triggering for some readers.

Pan-Indian actor Prakash Raj recently spoke about the grief of losing his 5-year-old son Sidharth during an event. The actor, who was then married to his ex-wife Lalitha Kumari, talked about how he felt powerless after the funeral.

As quoted by ABP Live, Prakash Raj said that pain is a very personal thing, whether it was losing his friend Gauri Lankesh or his son Sidharth. However, he said he cannot be selfish as he has his daughters, family, and profession to take care of.

Further, the actor spoke about how he always intends to celebrate little joys in life and share them rather than wallowing in sadness. Moreover, Prakash Raj urged people to discover reasons to love while acknowledging that death is part of life and is inevitable. “I am human. It disturbs me, it hurts me, it feels very helpless. But then, let’s find reasons to live. Death is eventually there, always,” he added.

For the unversed, Prakash Raj lost his son at the age of five in a horrifying incident. Talking about it, the actor had once shared with TOI that his son Sidharth was just 5 when the incident happened. While flying a kite from a high table, he fell to the ground.

Further, Raj stated that his son suffered from fits for a few months before eventually passing away. The actor said losing his son was more than any other sorrow he has ever faced in life.

It is worth mentioning that Prakash and Lalitha also share two daughters named Meghana and Pooja from their marriage. After his son’s death, equations drastically changed between him and his then-wife, Lalitha Kumari. Eventually, they separated in 2009. After the divorce, Prakash Raj married Pony Verma at the age of 45 in 2010. It is pertinent to mention that Prakash and Pony are blessed with a son, Vedhant.

Rihanna Teases Plan For This Year’s Halloween Costume: ‘Just Trying To Do Something…’

Rihanna is letting the Halloween spirit take over her senses. The Fenty Beauty founder, 36, recently spoke to People at the Savage X Fenty Lavish Lace Collection Preview in Nordstrom and revealed her costume plans for the special occasion.

“I’m just trying to do something simple, easy, and maybe something I could do myself,” she said.

The Diamonds singer also believes many people will incorporate her lingerie line into their Halloween outfits because that’s when “you get to see the most lingerie outside.”

Riri shared her opinions on how undergarments should be styled, stating, “Lingerie, to me, should be worn anyway and anywhere that you want. Whether you want it to be seen on display outside of T-shirts, inside a jacket falling off, or just to be cozy or to have a little support, it doesn’t matter.”

Returning to her Halloween fashion, Rihanna—who shares sons RZA, 2, and Riot, 14 months, with partner A$AP Rocky—has made a memorable impact during the spooky season over the years. In 2018, the musician dressed as a skeleton for Rita Ora’s party at the Lalow in London, donning a corseted latex outfit with neon pink makeup covering her entire face. She elevated her look with a pair of sunglasses, leaving her voluminous wavy locks cascading down her back.

In 2014, she turned heads in a ninja turtle costume in New York City.

Speaking to People, the Umbrella crooner also shared insights about her day-to-day fashion as a mom of two. She, according to the publication, prefers wearing anything stretchy so she can easily bend down to pick up her kids. She also looks for materials that won’t scratch her or her little ones.

Elsewhere in her life as a diva, Rihanna is reportedly feeling the pressure of making fashion choices for the 2025 Met Gala, where Rocky is named co-chair. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight recently, the singer confirmed her presence alongside her boyfriend at the prestigious fashion event but admitted she isn’t sure what she’ll wear.

Having delivered myriad iconic Met looks in the past, Riri will need to brainstorm seriously to try to beat the high bar she has set for herself as a fashion veteran over the years.

The Aftermath Of Israeli Air Strikes – Airspace Shut In These 3 Countries

The Aftermath Of Israeli Air Strikes – Airspace Shut In These 3 Countries

Israel strikes back. Iranian military bases in the capital Tehran and other cities were struck by missiles earlier today. The attack is a ‘response’ to Iran’s air strikes on October 1 when over 200 rockets and ballistic missiles rained down on Israel to avenge the killing of ally Hezbollah’s chief, Hassan Nasrallah.

The early morning strikes “caused limited damage”, says Iran but Israel claims that it now has “wider freedom” to open in skies over Iran. The aftermath of the strikes resulted in a complete lockdown of the airspace in Iran, Syria and Iraq.

As per FlightRadar24, an open-source flight tracking website, no aircraft is flying over the three countries. However, Iran has now announced that it will resume flights after the attacks.

Syria said Israel launched air strikes from the occupied Golan Heights and Lebanon on the capital Damascus, prompting them to activate air defence systems. Syria is part of the Iran-led ‘Axis of Resistance’, a group of Shia militias and political groups, against Israel and the US in the region.

Iraq said it is preserving the safety of civil aviation in its airspace and decided to lockdown the skies after the attacks. Prohibiting airspace after attacks is part of standard operation procedures of states for security reasons to prevent intrusion of enemy aircraft in the territory and make it easy for air defence systems to identify friendly aircraft in the airspace.

‘Will Face Proportional Reaction’

The tensions never simmered in the region and now Iran says it is ready to respond to the ‘act of aggression’.

Iran is prepared to respond to any Israeli “aggression,” Iran’s semi-official Tasnim news agency reported, citing sources. “There is no doubt that Israel will face a proportional reaction for any action it takes,” Tasnim quotes the sources as saying.

The Israeli army has warned Iran that it will “pay a heavy price” if it begins a new round of escalation. Iran said the attack caused “limited damage”.

The United States confirmed it was informed of the impending strike, although no US personnel or assets were involved in the operation. Sean Savett, spokesperson for the White House National Security Council, termed Israel’s actions as “an exercise of self-defence and in response to Iran’s ballistic missile attack against Israel.”

“We urge Iran to cease its attacks on Israel so that this cycle of fighting can end without further escalation,” said US National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett.
