NEET-UG registrations have surpassed 25 lakh, marking an increase of 4.2 lakh compared to the previous year. Although Saturday marked the final day for registration for the May 5 medical entrance examination (NEET-UG-2024) conducted by the National Testing Agency, a significant number of students continued to apply well into the late evening hours.

Shortly before the Election Commission was set to declare the Lok Sabha general elections, Arun Goel, an election commissioner, resigned, leaving the poll panel with only Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar.
