Sanjay Dutt Says Khal Nayak Sequel Idea Came During Jail Term

Sanjay Dutt has opened up about the origins of the much-talked-about sequel to Khal Nayak, revealing that the idea dates back to a deeply personal phase of his life. Speaking about the project, the actor shared that the concept for Khal Nayak Returns first took shape during his time in jail.
Recalling that period, he said, “In jail, I asked everyone around me who would be interested in watching it… the 4,000 inmates said they all would.” He further added that he encouraged them to contribute creatively, saying, “I asked all of them to write one page about it, and it took me a while to read all 4,000 pages.”
Dutt went on to explain how the idea eventually moved forward once he stepped out. “When I came out on parole, I asked Subhash sir to go through it. After that, he said it should be made,” he shared, crediting filmmaker Subhash Ghai for backing the vision.

The original Khal Nayak, released in 1993, went on to become a cult classic, with Dutt’s portrayal of Ballu emerging as one of Bollywood’s most iconic anti-heroes. Over the years, the film has maintained strong recall, making the announcement of a sequel particularly significant for fans of the original.

The sequel, titled Khal Nayak Returns, is expected to revisit the legacy of the original while introducing a fresh narrative. While details about the storyline and cast remain under wraps, the project has already generated considerable curiosity, especially given the gap of over three decades since the first film.
Dutt’s revelation adds a unique backstory to the sequel, linking its origins to a phase of reflection and creative exploration during his incarceration, now shaping into a full-fledged cinematic project.

Revanth Reddy silent political chess move?

Revanth Reddy silent political chess move?

The political landscape of Telangana has shifted from a slow burn to a full-blown inferno in the last 48 hours. With the formal launch of K. Kavitha’s new party on April 25, 2026, and KCR’s aggressive return to the streets, the “Road Ahead” is no longer a straight path—it’s a high-stakes battlefield.

The Chessboard: Key Stroke by Revanth and Kavitha but BRS counters with memes Coolgate vs Colgate

The recent developments have turned the state’s political calculus on its head:

  • The TRS Coup: By officially launching the Telangana Rashtra Sena (TRS) yesterday, K. Kavitha has effectively “trademarked” the sentiment that BRS was desperately trying to reclaim. This move, reportedly backed by Revanth Reddy’s strategic silence and tactical support, creates a massive identity crisis for KCR’s main outfit.
  • HYDRA’s Polarization: Revanth Reddy’s HYDRA initiative continues to act as a double-edged sword. While it aims to snatch the urban “law and order” vote from the BJP, KCR has already pledged to dissolve HYDRA the moment he returns to power, framing it as a tool of “demolition and destruction.”
  • The Split Factor: The entry of the new TRS isn’t just a family feud; it’s a mathematical nightmare for the BRS. Even a 3–5% shift in votes toward Kavitha’s “Original TRS” branding could hand a clear advantage to the Congress in tightly contested seats.

The Road Ahead: Two Unstoppable Forces

The future of Telangana now rests on the shoulders of two leaders who have built their careers on defying the “impossible”:

For KCR: Never say never when KCR is in the game; it is impossible to write him off until the very last day of polling, as his connection to the Telangana pulse remains his greatest “Brahmastra.”

For Revanth Reddy: So is the case with Revanth Reddy, who navigated a no less impossible trajectory to reach the CM throne, proving that he is a master of the “long game” and a survivor who thrives when the odds are stacked against him.

The upcoming local body elections will be the first litmus test. Will the “Old Lion” KCR reclaim his pride, or will Revanth’s “Smart Moves” turn the BRS into a relic of the past? One thing is certain: in Telangana, the game has only just begun.

Rashmika is undergoing a psychological and real transformation for her role as a Gond warrior in Mysaa. She trained for eight hours daily in a Bangkok combat camp. Her preparation includes hand-to-hand combat and advanced stunt work. She is moving away from her bubbly image to pick physically demanding roles. Lately, the diversity has been evident. Yesubai in Chhaava and Bhooma in The Girlfriend last year were prime examples. Her film journey post-marriage looks even more promising. She recently tied the knot with Vijay Deverakonda in a dreamy Udaipur ceremony. The couple will soon share the screen in the historical epic Ranabaali. This shift toward intense and performance-oriented cinema shows her growth from the days of Sarileru Neekevvaru and Chalo. She is balancing pan-India projects while exploring new genres.

In recent interviews, Rashmika spoke about her evolving career choices. She mentioned that she no longer wants to be typecast in cinema. The actress noted that she now looks for roles with emotional arc and agency. She expressed a desire to explore her vulnerability through more complex stories. Rashmika feels it is important to challenge herself with unexpected characters. She remains focused on choosing meaningful work without falling into a run-of-the-mill trap.

This is not to suggest that Rashmika is interested only in big-scale actioners like Mysaa and Ranabaali. Her upcoming Hindi-language film is a rom-com titled Cocktail 2. A few years from now, she will reunite with Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga for Animal Park.
